The Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) was established by the Government of Kerala as an autonomous educational institution dedicated to human resources development, scientific advancement and technological progress.
College of Applied Science, Kundara was established at Thettikkunnu in Kundara Taluk, Kollam District, under the aegis of IHRD, on land allotted by the Government of Kerala.
The college now offers five undergraduate FYUGP programmes affiliated to the University of Kerala, with a focus on skill development, research, advanced technology and industry readiness.
